-We can not help paying a tribute to (JOSEPH HILL) lead singer of the wellknown reggae band of all times (CULTURE)!He was a real reggae revolutionary musically, through his committed and realistic lyrics from the seventies to(AUGUST 19th)- (2006) when he passed away in (BERLIN-GERMANY) during a summer reggae tour on the (19th of August-2006).

-Let’s remember him through some of his lyrics:

In the (70s), he sang there and played there, around the world (« Blackstarliner ») in his own creation:(« They took us away from our homeland and we are slaving down in (Babylon)(« first world »).They are waiting on an opportunity for the (« Blackstarliner ») to come, (aluding to a ship bought by the jamaican famous lawyer social reformer and panafricainst (Mosa Marcus GARVEY), in the (1920S), just to return african captives to the motherland(AFRICA)!Just a follow-up of the sense of the black history during (400) years of slavery days from the (16th) century til now.
-Furthermore, he added in another lyrics,(« too long in slavery »):(« too long the people’s hidden in the darkness, now it’s the time to see the light. But we were brought here to do a very necessary job.Now it’s the time is over, we want to know when we will be returned…

-Finally,(Joseph Hill) highlighted the liberation of south african freedom fighter(Nelson Mandela) in the (1990s) through the song (« one stone »):(« Mandela leaves the prison and takes the seat of the president »)(« stoned one »).

-Down the line, They have gone, won’t be forgotten but the african liberation struggle still continues and we shall never give up nor retreat:In the same trend, we are confident in the final Victory!Ever living, ever faithful, ever sure!
